World Equestrian Brands Helmet Cam: Meet Digby

Internet, prepare to fall in love with the newest equine hero.

These days, it seems like Laine Ashker has a more lovable stable full of up-and-coming stars than ever. (Remember last week’s sensation, Debakey the creative bank jumper?)

We’re pretty sure we’re falling in love with this guy, too. Horse Nation, meet DIGBY:

Okay, now here’s the fun part about Digby: guess how tall he is. Really, guess.

If you guessed in the “normal” event horse height range of, oh, say, 15.3 – 16.3… guess again. Digby comes in at a whopping 13.3. Yep, he’s every inch a pony.

Digby belongs to Carina Erickson, and Ashker is piloting this pony hero which Carina finishes school. This double-clear effort at Waredaca Horse Trials last weekend placed Ashker and Digby second in the preliminary.
