Don’t look down!
For someone who is intensely afraid of heights, there’s a whole lot of nope in this video, despite the incredible views. But even for the average thrill seeker, riding a narrow path like those found on the Grand Canyon trails at such an altitude would take nerves of steel! Could you be brave enough?

Mules are the best option for traversing tricky trails such as those found in the Grand Canyon — not only do they handle the temperature extremes of the desert climate more efficiently than horses, but their sure-footedness is a pretty obvious necessity. The mule’s tendency to hold his ground rather than spook like a horse is another plus — no one wants to spook right off the side of one of these trails!
Go mules, and go riding.
