2016 Best of HN #25: Jimmy Fallon & Kevin Bacon Sing the New National Anthem of Horse Nation

This one goes out to all the crazy horse people. Oh wait, that’s us.

Jimmy Fallon’s “First Drafts of Rock” series takes an imagined look at rock anthems we all know and love … before they became the rock anthems we all know and love. Last night, Jimmy teamed up with Kevin Bacon —  that is, Jeff Lynne and Tom Petty — to present an early draft of the much-loved “Free Fallin’,” Tom Petty’s biggest hit of his career.

Now, we all already relate to the line “Loves horses, and her boyfriend too” but this early draft might come even closer to truly describing all of us at Horse Nation. Pull out those lighters (or your cell phone flashlight, kids) and prepare to rock out.
