It’s finally here: the Opening Ceremonies of the 2016 Olympic Summer Games takes place tonight, and the top eventers, dressage riders and show jumpers in the world will contend for individual and team medals over the next two weeks. The Olympics are a festival, with riders and fans uniting on a global level to cheer on their own country as well as celebrating the equestrian sports and their wide-reaching impact.
