Omega Alpha Equine’s Barn Manager Award is One-of-a-Kind

There’s a lot of unsung heroes in the horse world, including our ever-present  doctor/ vet/ scheduler/ therapist/ accountant Barn Managers. Which is why Omega Alpha does a little something special every year just for them!

Omega Alpha Equine, who you might know because of their natural pharmaceuticals for equine health and performance, are also some pretty generous sponsors in the competition world. Often we fly past those vinyl sponsor signs and ads in the prize list without realizing that these companies literally make the horse show world go round. They keep your ponies healthy, and then help organizers put on these incredible events. It’s kind of a big deal.

But by far our favorite is the Omega Alpha Best Barn Manager of the Season contest at the Colorado Horse Park. This will be the first time that the contest is held in Colorado. Nominations for outstanding barn managers may be made throughout the summer at one of two ballot boxes conveniently located in the show office and the on-site Colorado Horse Park Feed & Supply Store, where Omega Alpha products are available for purchase. The winning barn manager will receive a beautiful bit box, his or her choice of Omega Alpha products, and a dinner out for two. I’m not a barn manager, but I seriously want and need that turquoise and chrome bit box!

Omega Alpha will also promote top quality horse care at the Colorado Horse Park by presenting the Omega Alpha Healthy Horse Award once a week at each dressage, eventing, and hunter/jumper show. The award will be given to horses that stand out for their healthy appearance, exhibiting hallmarks of excellent health and fitness such as proper muscling, a shiny coat, and a good attitude. Winners of the Omega Alpha Healthy Horse Award will receive a commemorative ribbon and a prize bucket filled with Omega Alpha products to help keep them healthy throughout the show season and beyond.
