SpectraVET Performance of the Week
Jason Vanlandingham and Not Ruf At All!
The National Reining Breeders Classic was created as a stallion incentive program within the reining horse industry, with the inaugural NRBC running in 1998. Now offering over $1 million in payouts, the NRBC welcomes four-, five- and six-year-olds who were nominated to the NRBC and sired by an enrolled stallion (there are well over 200 stallions to choose from).
Together with the NRHA Futurity and NRHA Derby, the NRBC makes up one leg of the Reining Triple Crown, a highly-coveted accomplishment that’s difficult to achieve: very few horse and rider combinations have managed to win all three, especially as they are age-limited events.
However, Jason Vanlandingham and Not Ruf At All have become the latest partnership to claim that elusive title after they won the Level IV Open at the NRBC in late April. With their previous open victories at the Futurity and the Derby, they’ve etched a place in the history books.
Watch Vanlandingham and Not Ruf At All mark a 231 in the Level IV Open Finals:
Congratulations to Jason Vanlandingham, Not Ruf At All and connections!
Go reining, and go riding!
