New Wallpaper Collection Inspired by Famous Grand National Jockey Silks
Commemorating Grand National winning horses like Red Rum and Mr. Frisk as well as jockeys like AP McCoy and Tommy Stack, this wallpaper brings home — literally — the spirit of the chase.
First run in 1839, the Grand National is one of England’s most prestigious annual sporting events. Held at Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool, the grueling 4-mile, 3 1/2-furlong race includes 30 jumping efforts and features the biggest jump race purse in Europe, £1 million.
This year’s race takes place this Saturday, April 9. To celebrate one Liverpool home decor company, Murals Wallpaper, has unveiled a special silks-inspired collection of Grand National wallpaper murals available for purchase. (You can shop the full collection here.)
The sales pitch: “Ideal for a sports room, home gym or man-cave, these unique wallpaper prints will indulge your love of racing while adding a dash of sophistication to the home.”
Home gym? Maybe, maybe not. But we do think they’d look AMAZING in a tack room.
