Win the Chance to Be a Racehorse Owner for a Day

All you have to do is name the horse!

Lexington, Kentucky-based O’Dwyer Racing has come up with the most fun way to crowd source a racehorse name ever. They explain the contest on the O’Dwyer Racing Facebook page:

Help us name this 2-year-old filly and win a day as an owner at her first race and 5% of any prize money won that day. This will include: a trip to the backside to visit her before the race, being in the paddock for saddling and meeting the jockey, and a chance to be in the winners circle should she win her first start.

She is by Majestic Warrior out of St. Rose, born in March 2014. This filly is just learning the ropes and has only recently been saddled for the first time. She is located and in training in Lexington, Ky. We don’t know if she’s fast or slow yet, but there’s always the dream of having something special.

As horses are always unpredictable there are no guarantees that she will make it to a race but if and when she does we promise to honor the winner. We will keep everyone up to date on her progress!

We will pick out our top three favorites and submit all three, in order of preference to the Jockey Club. The official name that is chosen is the winner!
