Thursday Morning Feed from Fleeceworks: A McDrive for Horses?
McDonald’s in the States really needs to step their game up after this German restaurant opened a drive-through for horses!
Saddle up, ladies and gents! The German town of Wildenfels has officially gone to the horses by opening up a “McDrive” that allows riders on horseback to come through.
No, this isn’t a joke.
Evidently, a large portion of this McDonald’s customer base are horse folk, so the marketing minds thought it might be a good move to welcome the four-legged companions onto the property. A good move, I’d say.
There are a couple of options here: ride through the McDrive or tie your horse and enjoy your meal on the lawn. They even have a place for your horse to grab some water (and perhaps a few french fries) while they wait.
Just picture this: you’re out on a trail ride and absolutely dying for an Oreo McFlurry and a big, salty order of fries. Lo and behold, there’s a McDonald’s up the way where you can ride right up to the window and grab your order without some pesky bystander telling you that it’s illegal to ride your horse on a public road.
Perfect, right? Now hopefully some of the McD’s on our side of the planet will sit up and take notice. Should we start a petition?
Go (drive-through) Riding, and Go Fleeceworks!
