World Equestrian Brands Helmet Cam: Tevis Adventure
Saddle up and ride along for part of the 100-mile Tevis Cup endurance race with today’s Helmet Cam!
Dawn Engle Hilliard lets us come along for her Tevis adventure on August 1, 2015, for the Truckee to Forest Hill section of the 100-mile ultimate endurance test. While there’s no doubt that the Tevis is a grueling marathon of a ride, Dawn and her riding companions manage to make it look like a fun-filled if intense trail ride, full of camaraderie. It’s also fun to see those little Arabian ears constantly pricked forward, looking ahead down the trail for the next challenge — these horses are in their native habitat on the endurance road!
Dawn and her 16-year old Arabian gelding “Sultan” traveled all the way from Sugarloaf, Pennsylvania to compete in the 2015 Tevis Cup. (A full rider list can be found here.) We’re happy that she brought her helmet camera on her trip as well! With a soaring view as intense as the route itself, Tevis definitely looks like the ultimate adventure.
