16 Reader-Submitted Kids & Horses
Nothing warms the heart in winter like seeing the relationship between kids and horses.
For this week’s 24-hour photo challenge, we asked to see your photos of your kids and their horses. Here is the most heart-warming collection of images we’ve ever put together:
My daughter and my mare.

Karen Scott: “First is my daughter Shannon at about 2 years old ‘helping’ me feed General, a therapeutic riding horse belonging to the 4-H Therapeutic Riding Program of Carroll County in Maryland. It’s one of my favorite pix! General was a great horse — pasture boss that ruled by just being there and not stirring things up. Her complete confidence in him as she reaches through is my favorite part. Plus, she’s about as tall as his head!

Karen Scott: “Second is a picture of my daughter Lindsey that she edited for a Valentine to her buddy Action Jackson! Jackson was a fixture at the therapeutic riding program at The Retreat at Beckleysville in Hampstead, Maryland, as well as being used for regular lessons. As you can see, it’s true love!”
So much cute!
We’ll hold another 24-hour photo challenge next week! Check the Facebook page and Instagram accounts for the announcement.
Go riding!
