Krista Pleasant: “This would be when my photographer friend came out and wanted to get the hang of taking jumping pictures. My gelding got really sidetracked by her being there, and wasn’t quite paying attention. The honest soul he is still jumped the jump,but didn’t take off until we were touching the barrel — needless to say his landing gear didn’t work. You can see me letting go of the reins in an attempt to keep him from falling on his face. That worked but I ate dirt.”

Viktoria Anello: “This is my horse Murphy and I cross country schooling yesterday. Murphy changed his mind at the last second and I continued on to clear the jump!”

Lillian Leonard: “This is me and my pony, Brody. We were schooling cross country and we were coming up to a ditch. He decided to take a good look at it before he went over it. I some how managed to stay on! “

Corinne Haack: “This is a video still from a clinic with Robert Taylor. I goosed the mare to take off about a stride too early, then changed my mind. She didn’t.”

Corinne Haack: “Same mare, but this time at a Bernie Traurig clinic.
I said ‘whoa’ to steady her through a one-stride line. She interpreted the ‘whoa’ literally.”
