Lady Gaga’s $23 Million Equestrian Estate
Must be nice to have an eight-stall barn and a batcave.
Lady Gaga is finally taking the leap to homeownership (after several years of renting Liza Minelli’s old apartment in New York City for $22,000 a month) and recently bought a tricked-out house and equestrian estate. Perhaps she finally wants a real horse or two (as opposed to riding two men in a horse costume), or she just wanted to feel more at home in her unicorn getup.
Her new place is a Malibu oceanfront estate with a 10,270-square-foot home on 6 acres. That includes 5 bedrooms, 6 full bathrooms, 6 half bathrooms, a wine cellar, a saltwater swimming pool and a “batcave” accessible by secret staircase that leads to an indoor bowling alley, home theater and two basketball machines.
All I’ve got to say is that A) I can’t even imagine Lady Gaga bowling and B) that seems like an awful lot of house and not much room left for the barn. Gaga, get your priorities straight!
But apparently the property also includes a stable for eight, paddocks, an arena, and access to bridle paths. No word yet on whether she intends to make use of these amenities as they were intended, or whether she’ll just use them to stable the men she saddles up for red carpet walks.
