SpectraVET Performance of the Week: The Horseman Team

WEG’s closing ceremonies featured one of the most exciting performances of the entire event — and there weren’t even any horses involved.

The Horseman Team is a French performance troupe of men with a talent for jumping Grand Prix-height jumps… in their underpants. While we haven’t been able to track down any video of Sunday’s grand finale, yet, we did find this taping of another recent performance:

But while we’re on the subject of under-dressed French show jumpers, we’d be remiss if we neglected to include one more reader-favorite video.

The story goes that this incident took place at a competition in Bourg-en-Bresse, France. It was a costume class but the rider came unprepared… so he threw on his birthday suit.

Let the cringing commence. I definitely shrieked out loud when the horse chipped in at fence #4–Aïe! Ouille!
