Two-and-a-half Minutes with Carl Hester
The Team GB rider discusses the challenges and rewards of training so-called “difficult” horses, his unorthodox approach to horse-keeping (his horses live out in a field!) and his WEG ride Nip Tuck.
This beautifully produced film, exclusive to Land Rover, was filmed at Nip Tuck’s first CDI3*on British soil, at the Royal Windsor Horse Show in May 2014. The 18-hand 10-year-old Carl co-owns with Jane de la Mare has since gone on to win CDI3* at Hartpury and at the WEG test event.
We look forward to watching Carl and Nip Tuck compete at the 2014 World Equestrian Games in just a few short weeks. He and teammates Charlotte Dujardin riding Valegro, Gareth Hughes riding DV Stenkjers Nadonna, and Michael Eilberg riding Half Moon Delphi come in on the heels of a Team Gold Medal at the 2012 London Olympics, so we expect that they’ll be giving the world a run for its money in Normandy in defense of their title. Learn more about Team GBR here, and check out the WEG dressage schedule of events here.
We appreciate Land Rover’s support of equestrian events, including their sponsorship of the 2014 WEG.
Go Land Rover, and Go Riding!
