Top, from Riley Ristuccia: “Just thought I’d share a recent ‘oh crap’ experience of my own. This photo was from my first eventing show a few weeks ago. One of the classes was a ‘jumpalooza’ which involved dong several stadium jumps, exiting the arena on horseback for cross-country jumps and then finishing by re-entering the stadium to finish the course with a few more jumps there. After leaving the stadium, the horse I was riding thought that he was done. He stopped when we got to the first cross country jump, causing what you see in the photo. We circled around, tried the jump again and finished the course, but that will teach me to make sure he’s paying attention:)”

From Caroline Mameesh: “I rode this horse, Maverick, for a little while, and we did a three-day event. Needless to say, this was my first time riding him, and we struggled with the banks out of the water. I managed to stay on and get him successfully over that and much more, though!”
