Thursday Morning Feed from Fleeceworks
Have you ever heard of an extreme cowboy race? If you haven’t, you’ve GOT to watch this video — it’s pretty amazing.
This is Fleeceworks-sponsored rider Robin Bond riding Cowboy at Chad’s Cowboy Challenge — they won first place in the Open Division. From a line of one-stride jumps to reining slides and spins to trail navigation, the event is a showcase of real-life workhorse skills. Robin, of Vista, Calif., is a big cheerleader for this fast-growing competition, which she describes as “the ultimate test of the Western all around horse.” Watch:

Robin is also a big cheerleader for Fleeceworks, maker of saddle pads that are as hard-working as her horses. Fleeceworks now also offers a Western-style Square Wool Underpad, made of 100% merino wool and designed so that Navajo blankets can be used over allowing for that custom look. The pad offers all the thermal balancing of sheepskin with easier care. Great for training and short to medium distances. Removable visco elastic foam inserts provide the ultimate in support for the horse’s back. Each design is anatomically correct, following the natural curve of the horse’s topline. Truly, the pads represent a new benchmark for both the serious competitor and the pleasure rider.
Go Fleeceworks, and Go Riding!
