Individual WEG Tickets Now On Sale
Planning a trip to Normandy for the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games 2014? Here’s the ticketing info you need.
Previous phases of 2014 WEG ticket sales have focused on package deals, combining a sampling of competitions from various events. The current phase, which began this morning, opens the process up to those wishing to purchase individual tickets to specific events. Tickets to the “4-Way Final” and Closing Ceremony will go on sale in April.
In contrast to the ticket price inflation that WEG-goers experienced in Kentucky in 2010, 2014 WEG tickets are reasonably priced with an average ticket price of 25€ (US $34) and some tickets available for only 5€ (US $7). All tickets also include entry to the Games Village set up in Caen’s “Parc des Exposititions” that features exhibitions, concerts and dining. For more information on the Games or to purchase tickets, visit Normandy2014.com.
Here’s a just-released television commercial to get you pumped (you can watch it in French, if you really want to get in the spirit, here):
The FEI channel also recently released highlight videos from the 2010 Games — check them out here.
