Celebrity: Noah and Brandi Cyrus, equestrians
Yesterday the Internet was seething with outrage about Miley’s scandalous VMA performance. But while Hannah Montana may be gone for good, there’s still hope for her horse-loving sisters.

NOAH
The 13-year-old daughter of country star Billy Ray Cyrus posed with her horse, Constantine, for a photoshoot and interview with Teen Vogue earlier this year. She said that having a superstar sister has its perks–she got to meet her crush Justin Bieber, for instance–but that she’s pretty happy doing her own thing: horses.
“I want to go to the Olympics for riding and then possibly become a trainer,” she told the magazine. “Maybe I’ll sing and act when I’m older, but right now, it’s just about the horses.”
Here’s Noah competing Comet at a horse show last year:
And here she is acting like your average teenage barn rat a few weeks ago, goofing off with a friend:
BRANDI
Noah credits her love of horses to her eldest sister, Brandi.
Brandi is a musician–she and a friend put out a record on Interscope last year as Frank + Derol–but she’s always been a horse girl as well.
“Something that I’ve passionately loved since I was 4 years old is riding horses,” she blogged earlier this year for Buzznet. “I show competitively on the ‘A’ hunter/jumper circuit, and even though I like to compete, for me it is purely for the joy and peace I get from being around horses. My animals are my family.”
Here’s a behind-the-scenes video of Brandi and her bandmate doing a horsey photo shoot at her barn:
MILEY
Growing up with her family on a 500-acre farm near Nashville, Miley was once an equestrian enthusiast, too. So how did she go from this…

To this?
Shoulda stuck with the horses.
