Hermès: $260 for a hoofpick?
And that’s only the beginning. A $355 brush, $910 spurs, $1,850 riding jacket, $10,000 saddle… Hermès has truly cornered the market on overpriced horse crap.
I was watching this editorial video for Hermès’ equestrian line and I got to thinking: I wonder how much all that stuff costs, anyway?
So, I made the mistake of looking on the website. Here is a sampling of what I found, from lowest price to highest:
Hermès hoofpick: $260
Hermès bit: $290
Hermès soft brush: $355
Hermès short-sleeve riding polo: $495
Hermès shock-absorbing pad: $710

Hermès men’s riding breeches: $930
Hermès show rug: $1,075
Hermès grooming bag: $1,575
Hermès women’s competition jacket: $1,850
Talaris Saddle: From $10,000
