Meanwhile, in a land far, far away from Kentucky…
…the show jumping and dressage FEI World Cup Finals are taking place in Gothenburg, Sweden. So much going on, all at once! How to keep up?
Allow us to steer you in the right direction.
Lisa Slade and Mollie Bailey from the Chronicle of the Horse are overseas covering all the action, and that’s our pick for thorough reporting. Keep up with the dressage here and the show jumping here.
After day 1 of the dressage, Lisa reports that Germany’s Helen Langehanenberg aboard Damon Hill have won the Grand Prix on a 79.86 percent, beating out last year’s winner Adelinde Cornelissen of the Netherlands on Jerich Parzival. Edward Gal of the Netherlands placed second on Glock’s Undercover.
Mollie reports that Beezie Madden and her mount Simon laid down a swift clear round to finish at the top in the first round of the jumping final. Swiss rider Pius Schwizer and Verdi III took second and Swedish rider Rolf-Göran Bengtsson took third.
Keep it tuned to COTH for more results throughout the week.
