SpectraVET Classic Performance of the Week
Each week we spotlight a history-making moment by an equine legend–like Theodore O’Connor’s awe-inspiring performance at Rolex in 2007, where he and Karen O’Connor finished third.

After being produced to the Advanced level by Christan Trainor, in 2006 Karen O’Connor took over the ride on this 14.1¾-hand pony powerhouse–and the rest is history. In 2007 Karen and Teddy placed third at Rolex with only 4.4 time penalties, and won team team gold at the Pan American Games. In 2008 he placed 6th at Rolex and was short-listed for the Olympic Team. Tragically, in May of that year, he suffered a freak accident and had to be euthanized, but his legend lives on today.
In the spirit of this week’s Rolex Kentucky Three-Day Event, let’s all take a moment to remember Teddy, the four-star event pony that truly touched a nation.
