News: ‘Luke Bryan helps with Franklin horse rescue’
That’s Luke Bryan as in country music superstar Luke Bryan, who contributed to the rescue of a horse that fell in a freezing river in Middle Tennessee last Thursday.
From WSMV-Nashville:
Misty, a 15-year-old Appaloosa, tumbled into the Harpeth River last Thursday when a rain-soaked riverbank in her field gave way.
Luke Bryan, who lives nearby, was out boating when he spotted the horse and alerted her owners and rescuers. It took a dozen people, a tractor and several hours to pull Misty from the mud, but her owner reports that she now seems fine–a little soreness aside.
