Me, I put it off as long as I could but finally, at the end of last week, I broke down and body-clipped my horse, Esprit. (Which is to say, I paid my barn buddy Kaitlyn to do it, because body-clipping is my absolute least favorite activity in the world. Itchy hair in the bra–no thank you.)

Anyway, once my horse was totally naked, I started rummaging through my blanket collection. Turnout sheet: Definitely no longer waterproof. Mid-weight: All straps ripped off except one–good job, Esprit. Heavyweight: Two broken buckles, giant rip in the bum. Neck warmer: Nowhere to be found. And, of course, all of them were still totally covered in mud.

I’ll do what I can to restore life to my old blankets, but clearly, I was in need of some new ones. SmartPak to the rescue!
