Let’s Discuss: Bullfighting

In bloodless bullfighting, the matador tries to place Velcro-tipped sticks on pads on the bull’s backs. Watching this video, I was mesmerized by the beauty and skill of horse and rider but still felt conflicted. Can bullfighting ever truly escape the shadow of its gruesome past? What do you think?

Fun fact about the horse in the video: Merlin (Orpheo Tauromachie) is 7/8 Lusitano and 1/8 Quarter Horse.
