Hey, It’s the Weekend: Sunday, February 5

Good morning! I don’t know about you, but I’ve had a LONG weekend and I’m ready to kick back with a cold one and enjoy the #1 sporting event of the year: Puppy Bowl VIII.

Featuring an all-star lineup of 67 adorable puppies, a kitty halftime show and–new for 2012–a piggy pep squad, it’s a great way to kill an hour or two or eight. The game begins at 3 p.m. ET on Animal Planet and it runs well into the night.

On other fronts, my event this weekend was fine, thanks for asking. Jumping was a lark, but the dressage judge was less than impressed with Esprit’s, uh, enthusiasm. It was a good learning experience, though. Next time I’ll know to gain 200 pounds, tie cinder blocks to his ankles and have a friend shoot him with a tranquilizer dart just before we enter the ring.
