Photo Challenge: 56 Snowflaked Horses, Consolation Round
There were so many great entries in this week’s photo challenge that we broke them up into two rounds! We’ll share our absolute favorites tomorrow, but we couldn’t resist this great big gallery today.
For everyone in the warm and sunny south, or enjoying the blazing sun of the southwestern deserts, this is our karmic trade-off: those of us in the cold, wet and snowy north get beautiful opportunities to take pictures of our horses all covered in snow. While we may complain about the inconvenience and annoyance of snow, it sure is pretty.

Keep an eye out for next week’s 24-hour photo challenge! We announce challenge subjects on Monday around the middle of the day on both Instagram and Facebook.
